I am…really I am.

I must have gone blind or something since the last time I worked on a large piece though, cause this is killing me. lol

I created a ‘Wheel of the Year’ pattern with my PCStitch Pro and I’m doing it up on 28 cnt. Even Weave cloth.

I have to use a magnifying light just to see what I’m doing. lol *blush*

I’ll post pics when I get something of it done that actually LOOKS like something. lol

Canadian Rights And Freedoms Are At Risk
An Important Notice Regarding Bill C-51

A new law being pushed in Canada by Big Pharma seeks to outlaw up to 70 percent of natural health products currently sold in Canada, even while criminalizing parents who give herbs or supplements to their children. The law, known as C-51, was introduced by the Canadian Minister of Health on April 8th, 2008, and it proposes sweeping changes to Canada’s Food and Drugs Act that could have devastating consequences on the health products industry.

Among the changes proposed by the bill are radical alterations to key terminology, including replacing the word “drug” with “therapeutic product” throughout the Act, thereby giving the Canadian government broad-reaching powers to regulate the sale of all herbs, vitamins, supplements and other items. With this single language change, anything that is “therapeutic” automatically falls under the Food and Drug Act. This would include bottled water, blueberries, dandelion greens and essentially all plant-derived substances.

The Act also changes the definition of the word “sell” to include anyone who gives such therapeutic products to someone else. On April 8^th, 2008, the Canadian Minister of Health introduced Bill C-51 into the House of Commons. This Bill proposes significant changes to the current Food and Drugs Act that will have wide-ranging negative implications for Canadians.
Bill C-51 will:

· Remove democratic oversight, bypassing elected officials to vote in laws and allow bureaucrats to adopt laws from other countries
without our consent.
· Remove 70% of Natural Health Products from Canadians and many others will be available by prescription
only.
· Restrict research and development of safe natural alternatives in favor of high risk drugs.
· Punish Canadians with little or no opportunity for protection or recourse for simply speaking about or giving a natural product
without the approval of government. More than 70% of people in Canada use a Natural Health Product. The new
law goes so far as to warrant action against a person who would give another person an “unapproved” amount of garlic on the recommendation that it would improve that person’s health.

Proposed New Enforcement Powers:
·Inspectors can enter private property without a warrant
·Inspectors can take your property at their discretion
·Inspectors can dispose of your property at will
· Inspectors do not reimburse you for your losses
·Inspectors can seize your bank accounts
·Inspectors can charge owners shipping and storage charges for seized property
·Inspectors can be empowered to store your property indefinitely
·Inspectors can levy fines of up to $5,000,000.00 and/or seek 2 years in jail per incident

With your assets and money under their control will you be able to defend

In 2003 Health Canada launched an attack on a group of mentally ill patients and the company who supported them naturally. They seized shipments of a
safe natural therapy required by the patients and stormed the support
center with 17 armed officers and agents. The company
(Truehope) reported that they lost contact with more than 300 of their
Canadian participants. The Canadian Mental Health Association told of
suicides as a result of government action.

Health Canada then charged the not for profit company, burdening them with heavy legal costs. Truehope was found innocent by necessity and instructed by the judge to continue under legal and moral responsibility. Although the
agents admitted knowing they were injuring people through their actions,
they stated under oath they care only about policy and directive. And what happened to the more than 300 mentally ill Canadians that became unreachable? In the months and years following, reports of hospitalizations and suicides
during the seizures have surfaced. No Health Canada agent has ever been charged.

Will this new law be used to abuse and punish special interest
groups, minorities, religious groups or others?
Why do bureaucrats want to bypass the Parliament and Senate’s
approval to create new laws?
Why do bureaucrats want seizure warrants without judge approval
?
With fines being increased a 1000 times, and seizing
authority without a warrant, is Bill C-51 meant to bankrupt and silence
its target
audience?

N.B.*** This bill had it’s first reading by the House on April 8th/08
and it’s second reading on April 28th/08, so it is being pushed through very
quickly.***

Since Clement is federal health minister, it takes as little as 6 months for new drugs
to be approved by Health Canada - when it used to take an average of 5 years of
clinical research until new medications were approved in Canada.

Tony Clement surely knew that he wouldn’t be federal health minister for 5 years, so
it surely looks like he is abusing of his pharmaceutical interests and powers,
and that he’s going to make it the most profitable for him.

I’ve been playing around with my new Cross Stitch Pattern Program and it’s pretty cool. J

I find that my greatest issue with my craft projects is that there are so many that I want to do and not enough time or energy in a day to get to them all. LOL

I’m almost finished up with the last of the ‘camping’ blankets I’m knitting for this summer. They’re basically double threaded blankets that I’m making for a camping trip that also has the advantage of using up some of my ‘stash’.

They are turning out quite nice and I’m looking forward to getting this last one done.
Once I get that done, I can get to work on some of the custom Cross Stitch patterns I want to do.

I’m looking around the net for a source of good cross stitch cloth. I dislike using Aida cloth. *sigh*

If anyone has any good sources, I’d be happy to check them out and share them if you’re interested. J
